At FBC Gunter, Community Groups are the primary way that we do life together. Scripture teaches that worship, community, and mission are all meant to be done together as the people of God. The first church in the book of Acts, gathered for public worship then scattered into smaller groups throughout the city meeting in people's homes. Community groups are where real community, life change, and mission happen.
Community Groups are where we gather as smaller families to experience life together, live the gospel, serve one another, serve the community and city around us, grow in God's grace, and fulfill the mission and vision of FBC Gunter. Throughout the Bible, this message is clear: We were created for community! In fact, we exist for community: community with God and each other. Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to come and journey with us as we experience the live changing power of Jesus in community.
Community Groups meet at various times and locations throughout the week. We have communities for couples, couples with kids, women, men, youth, & just about every other demographic imaginable!
